Established in 1960 as Sterling Glass in New Jersey we relocated to the Adirondack Mountains of New York in 1974 and became Edgemont Laboratory Glass. Since then, Edgemont has been supplying glassware to the diagnostic and analytical fields. Early on nearly all of our coils were made using pyrex glass. Understandably, it was just a matter of time before our abilities as pyrex coil fabricators became known to the quartz lamp manufacturers. Our equipment was soon subject to extensive modifications to accommodate all of the various configurations and applications presented by the introduction of quartz. Presently we are capable of fabricating quartz coils from .250” I.D. To 12” I.D., using tubing from 2mm O.D. To 15mm O.D.
We classify “standard” coil blanks as parts which require
no pre- or subsequent fabrication. The cost of those blanks are surprisingly
low, and is directed to large quantities where the purchase price may
be below your fabricating costs. Large orders of production types with
staggered deliveries are ideal as set up time and subsequent tooling
is eliminated. Attractive pricing and reduced material costs also provide
incentives for placing larger orders.
